A Capuchin Monkey better known as “The Organ Grinder”

If you plan to visit Costa Rica because you are an eco-tourist and have heard about the lush tropical rain forest, exotic birds, spectacular waterfalls, butterflies, hummingbirds, flowing white water rivers, felines and monkeys, your guaranteed to see it all and more at the La Paz Waterfall Gardens in close proximity to the capital city of San Jose,This 70 acre nature park has 3.5 kilometers of hiking trails that can be rather strenuous at times because it was constructed in the mountains at an altitude ranging from 4000 to 5,000 feet.. As  a result,  the trails wind their way up, down and around the mountain as they pass by an aviary, butterfly observatory, hummingbird garden, serpentarium, jungle cat exhibit, frog exhibit and eventually ends at a series of cascading waterfalls ranging from a height of 120 feet to 65 feet. Before you continue to the waterfalls, however, it might be a good idea to stop at the restaurant for lunch as it has one of the most highly rated buffets in the country. Alternately, you can press on to the waterfalls and climb stairways  to platforms that are strategically located to give you the best views. When you finally reach the end of the waterfall trail there is  a shop that sells clothing, souvenirs and snacks, This is also where you  catch a bus that takes you back to the park entrance.and car lot.
